Questions
Q. How does the Eureka work? A: The Eureka Infusion Pumps work by means of 'positive pressure displacement'. A solution container that is placed into the Eureka pump housing. Resting against the solution container is a bladder that inflates creating pressure. The flow rate is based on tubing sets calibrated to work based on the pressure range which is preset with each pump.
Q: What are the alarms and what do they mean? A: There are several alarms and indicators, each designed to make the Eureka pumps safe and easy to use. Indicators are:
Mode LED's (light emitting diodes) to signify state
- Power On
- Stop Mode
- Infuse Mode
Safety Indicator LED's
- External Power Supply connected
- Battery Charged
- Battery Low
- Check Status
Q: What does a Check Status Alarm mean? A: A Check Status alarm can occur for the following reasons or conditions.
- Lid Open during Infuse State.
- Excessive pressure.
- Infuse pressure not reached in allotted time.
- Time-Out.
No pressure change for allotted time (when this occurs it means the infusion is complete)
